ASF Programs

The mission of Ahmed #37 Shriners Foundation is to help Shriners build stronger communities. We fulfill this pledge by investing in communities where Shriners live and work. We help the local Shriner accomplish their charitable objectives and fund projects that improve the quality of life in local Shriner communities.

Ahmed #37 Shriners Foundation approved appropriations and distributions in more than $20,000 for:

  • Scholarship Programs
  • Shriners National Diabetes Initiative



  • Melvin Herring Scholarship


Ahmed #37 Shriners Foundation will award multiple scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2018 competition.

  • Current high school male seniors, or the equivalent, residents of Leon, Jefferson, Gasden, Wakulla, and Taylor Counties, and who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants need not be related to a member of the Shriners
  • High school graduates are not eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.

The 2018 Melvin Herring Student scholarship is open to any high school senior who is a US Citizen. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): All students interested in financial aid for college will need to complete the FAFSA. National MVS finalists are required to complete the FAFSA, and submit their Student Aid Report (SAR) to the ENF.
